PixelPact UG (haftungsbeschränkt) wants everyone to be able to use our website, whatever their disability and whatever assistive technology they use. This statement describes how far we have come, where barriers remain and how you can report a barrier to us. We publish it voluntarily.
What this statement covers
This statement covers the website pixelpact.gg in German and English, namely:
- the home page and the pages for advertisers, for streamers, “About us” and “Contact”
- the case studies and the blog, with its overview and articles
- the legal texts: imprint, privacy policy, terms for advertising customers and for streamers, and this statement
- sign-in and registration for advertising customers and sign-in for streamers
The areas behind the login have their own section further down: the customer dashboard with the agency view, the campaign wizard and the streamer dashboard.
What PixelPact offers
Through PixelPact, companies book advertising that appears automatically in live streams on Twitch, YouTube and Kick: as an overlay in the stream picture and as a message in the chat. Streamers sign up with us, connect their channel and are paid for the ads delivered. Advertisers set up campaigns themselves in their dashboard and receive a report when a campaign ends.
Which requirements we apply
We follow the European standard EN 301 549 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA that it contains. Our tests also check the new criteria of WCAG 2.2 at level AA, the version on which the new EN 301 549 V4.1.1 is based.
How accessible the website is
The public pages of the website are largely accessible. This is what we have in place:
- The pages are structured with headings and landmarks. A link at the top of each page jumps straight to the content.
- Everything on these pages can be operated with a keyboard. The focus is always visible.
- Text and controls meet the contrast requirements, in dark and in light mode.
- Images that carry information have text alternatives.
- If you have set reduced motion in your operating system, we turn animations off.
- The preview of the “Hero” format is a short video without sound. It only starts once you select the format, and a text description is provided.
- The pages can be zoomed to 200 % and work on small screens without scrolling sideways. Wide tables can be scrolled within their own area, also with the keyboard.
- Form fields have labels. Required fields are marked as such. Errors are shown and announced by screen readers.
- The language of every page is declared, so screen readers pronounce it correctly.
What is not yet accessible
- PDF documents: The closing report in the case study and the closing reports advertisers receive when a campaign ends are not prepared for screen readers. The tool we generate the reports with does not yet support the structure this needs. On request we will send you the content in an accessible form, for example as text or a table.
- Language without JavaScript: With JavaScript turned off, German pages are declared as English.
- Content from other providers: The following is provided by the respective providers, and we have only limited influence on its accessibility:
- the live chat (Odoo)
- payment through Stripe
- signing in with Twitch, Google, YouTube and Kick
- Ads in streams: The ads that appear in live streams are designed by our advertisers. They are not part of this website.
Areas behind the login
The customer dashboard with the agency view, the campaign wizard and the streamer dashboard are partially accessible. They too have a link to the content, a navigation and structured areas. We know of these limitations:
- Charts: They have no complete text alternative. For campaigns, the key figures and the daily trend are also available as a CSV export. The streamer dashboard has no export yet.
- Tables: Many tables do not yet have a caption or clearly associated column headers.
- Live updates: New values, for example in a campaign’s live view, are not announced.
- Menus: The profile menu, switching between workspaces, the notifications and the country picker do not consistently follow the usual keyboard patterns.
- Campaign wizard: The sliders for the age range have no label.
- Language switch: After switching language, the new language is only declared once the page is reloaded.
- Twitch player: Recordings in the streamer dashboard are shown in Twitch’s player.
We are fixing these points step by step.
How this statement was prepared
We assessed the website ourselves: with automated tests (axe, Lighthouse) and with the keyboard. There is no external audit report.
